*The Shito Sentai proceed down the streets of First
Tokyo, faces cold and hard, eyes burning in anger. They walk
through the remains of the battles with the roach invaders without
noticing the damage around them, following Rei towards their fateful
destination. The Final Battle is beginning.*
Rei: She's nearby....
Aoi: Hai. I can feel her
too, at this distance. She'll pay for what she's done....
Rei-san....are you certain you're up to this?
Rei: *Slight smile* I'll be fine,
beloved.
Kaworu: Shall we proceed?
Rei: *Nods* It's time to end this,
for all time. Miyu....we're coming. *Arcs of
orange light flash around the Shito Sentai, and the five fade from sight*
*The group appears in a place of total darkness, a void
of such inky darkness that even sound seems to be oppressed.*
Rei: This trick, Miyu? I expected
more from you....
Miyu: *Dark chuckle* In your
"melodramatic mode" again, I see....Really, Lilim, you think too highly
of yourself.
Rei: I'll say what I said to Mayuri:
there's no room in me for arrogance. I simply do my job.
Miyu: *Sharp laugh* And who, pray
tell, made it your "job" to keep destiny locked on a single track?
Rei: *Smirks* What a naive way of
putting it. But we're not here to talk to you, Miyu.
Miyu: You wish to destroy me? *Soft
laughter, rising in intensity* Well then....*Laughter grows maniacal*
Let's make this interesting, ne?
Aoi: Die, monster!!!! *An aura
of silver-blue flames burst around Tamashii Aoi's young body, and she
begins to metamorphosize into her Malachi form: her skin and hair glow
with heavenly radiance, her eyes become solid crimson, and a pair of
feathered Angel's wings sprout from between her
shoulderblades. Kaworu undergoes the same metamorphosis,
becoming Tabris*
Rei: For Chatty....for the harm
you've caused us....and for your crimes against God and the Tree of
Life....Miyu, you will perish! *Pure white flames flare about Rei, and
her hair goes as white as her skin, her body bathed in the fires of
Heaven. Wings sprout from her back as well--but branch out
into six distinct pairs, spreading from her back in all their glory*
*VoidStar grins fiercely, and an aura of black surrounds
him. His eyes become spheres of obsidian darkness, and a pair
of demon wings unfurl from between his shoulderblades*
Miyu: Very impressive display! *With
no further words, the Five who are One send a pulse of magic through the
area*
Tabris: Shimatta! *The young Angel appears to be in
the same place, but his comrades are gone* Miyu has separated us....
Miyu: *Voice tinged with pessimism*
So, I guess I have to fight you....*Sigh* There's no real point to
it. But if I've gotta....
Tenkei: *Babble babble?* *The young
conduit is also alone, but he can sense a malignant presence
nearby. Well....technically malignant....*
Miyu: *Sounding indecisive*
Oh....this is who I'm up against? A kid? Aw, man, I don't wanna fight
a kid....but if I don't....it'll just drag things out....and he's one of
the conduits....but he's a kid, dammit! *Sighs* Well, it's not like I
have a choice or anything....
Demon VoidStar: Rei-san! Doko wa? Ah, dammit....
Miyu: *Sounds very bored* *Yawn*
This is the one I get? Oh, lovely. Like this'll be any
distraction....
Malachi: Miyu!! Do you hear me, Miyu?! I'm going to kill
you for what you've done!! You took him away from me, Miyu!!! You
won't leave this place alive!!!!!
Miyu: *Voice twinged with sadism*
Ha! I'll have fun taking you apart, Angel. Let's see how many
seconds you last!
Lilith: Well, Miyu? Planning on showing yourself? You
haven't appeared to any of the others yet.
Miyu: Not bad. You can see
into the other battles, can you? More than I expected from someone
who's so opposed to magic.
Lilith: *Dark smile* The powers I receive as an Angel more
than compensate, trust me. So, do you plan to converse with
me, blasphemer of blasphemers?
Miyu: Ha! Not at all, my old
rival. I've saved the best for you. *A pulsing
sphere of energy appears before Lilith* Let the end begin here, Angel!
