      Okay Jen-chan, my ICQ # is 14724900 (hmmm ... is this advertising?).

      I don't think an Emiko's Genesis Anime would cost that much, though -- and who needs Spielberg anyway? We've got the creative vision of Ian-san to lead this through! ^_- And if that's not enough, he can hire me for free! I'm as technologically skilled as Skuld! (Oh, wait a minute -- maybe that's a bad thing ... ^O^)

      Gee, is all this praise going to Yumi-sama's head? I mean, it's all well deserved and all, but isn't it a bit much? O.O Uh oh -- she might make an appearance in the chatroom now ... run for cover!!! Naw, just kidding.  Yumi-sama is THE coolest mage ever! YU~~~MI-SA~~~MA!

      FFVII Art: I haven't drawn anything form FF7 mainly because I haven't played the game yet! ;_; OH WOE_IS_ME! T_T No Playstation, and no 3D accelerator card for the PC! ~_~;

      Chatty: Damn, too bad about that site! Now you know you have to make backups of everything, ne? ^_-+

      Genesis Movie: Actually, Gainax isn't my favorite anime studio.  I would love the guys who do Oh My Goddess, Sakura Wars, and You're Under Arrest, to make the movie (and the OAV series, and the TV series ^o^)! I love their character designs, and the detail in the YUA OAV's are just perfect! ^o^

      Gainax: Ever notice that in EVA, there's really very little work to do by the animators? Just go watch any EVA video, and count how many scenes are nothing more than still images! Shots of the city, shots of the ceiling, shots of the people's backs (so you don't have to move the mouths), those famous "riding the escalator" scenes....frankly, it's really lazy! ^^;; Good thing they execute it well...but I don't think I want Genesis to be like that. ;oP

      Yumi: Dang, how did she get so popular all of a sudden? ^^;;;;; Luckily, she spends very little time with computers, so she probably hasn't seen all the praise yet. ^^;; Just hope she doesn't go meddling on an Eva terminal anytime soon. ^^;;;;;;

      Dogs: Hey, I have nothing against dogs! I love dogs! ^_^ Guess Mika better explain herself. ^^;;

      Back-ups: Weeell Ian-san, normally I'm a very compulsive backer-upper type person.  But my shrewy computer lately developed this nasty problem with disks -- it won't read or write to any disk drive outside of the hard drive.  No floppys, no 3 X 5s, and it won't even read CDs.  I'm in the process of getting a new one, but until then the only way I have of backing up anything is to upload it to the internet. :P

      FFVII Art: Since when did that stop anyone? ^_- Just kidding.  Sorry to hear that you don't have a Playstation yet.  If/When you get one, try to steer clear of the Nintendo 64 vs. Playstation contraversy.  We Genesis fans wouldn't want you to lose a hand in that mess. ^_- (Some of those arguments can get very violent ...)

      Playstation: Yeah, i had one of those for about a week (then i realized that i had spent all of my paycheck and would have absolutely no money for a two week period, and that without a $40 cable, it woudl only work on the parent's TV [I only got to play with it for about an hour at a time and only 3 times that week]) So i took it back to the store.  I do plan to re-buy it, when i save up enough money.

      Evangelion: The still shots do get annoying... they are my main problem with the sreies (well, aside from the fact that i have understood about 30% of the last 4 episodes) Otherwise, I love the series with a deep and abiding passion (that sounds so perverted, but it isn't, i swear)

      Yumi: Well, she already has a, justifiably IMHO, high opinion of herself.  How much higer can you get than "the greatest mage in all of Gaea?" The only thing she could think about this outpouring of praise would be "Oh, look, people that recognise greatness when i drops into their lives!" hahaha (or is that "oh-hohoho"?) :)

      That was supposed to sound sarcastic, but it kinda came out all... you know... snappy, i guess, oh well

      Dogs: My dog is totally insane. just once i would like to have a normal pet that wasn't struck by lightning (4 and counting...).  The dog barks at no one for about 5 minutes, and then (as if it comes as a surprise) she announces to everyone that i have friends over, barking and barking until i toss her outside.  Cats are seriously the way to go, pet wise (though i think cats have us domesticated, not the other way around) Dogs are fun, but cats are just... i don't know how to say it, i just like cats more

      A new "Worst Anime" contender: Twilight of the Cockroaches.
      Why is it a worse title than (my former "Worst Anime" titleholder) MD Geist? Well, there are many reasons, but I'll only go into a few.
      1. The primary female cockroach character sleeps w/ the two primary male cockroaches... How many other (not-meant-to-be-hentai) anime ever do that? Even MD Geist has a little decency, and doesn't reveal the female gang leaders previous' trysts (implied, but never spoken).
      2. Twilight of the Cockroaches is an anime+real life mix, similar to Roger Rabbit (Disney, 1992(?)) and that Zip-a-dee-do-dah song.. In this case, anime cockroaches interfere with the affairs of humans. This is NEVER a good thing for an animation: human actors.
      3. Twilight of the Cockroaches is as gory (if not moreso) than Geist. Hundreds (I lost count at 300) of cockroaches get slaughtered on screen. In Geist, perhaps 100 people die onscreen, with the suggestion that the whole planet gets nuked. Also, the cockroaches are drawn in Miyazaki's style (although he did not participate in the movie at all.. good for him!) while MD Geist's drawings are something more mainstream. It should be a sin to kill any Miyazaki character, or Miyazaki character lookalike. :-)
      (Warning: If you are religious or intolerant, you might wanna skip this next paragraph)
      4. Twilight of the Cockroaches is EXTREMELY anti Judeo-Christian. Normally I'm not offended by this.. I'm a Christian who can accept differences in opinion to great extents.. However, the whole movie was bent around the concept that "God is malevolent, and will strike down the weak" (ie: God = humans, weak = cockroaches).. that concept is even vocalized several times by one of the supporting charcters. I had considered MD Geist to be very disturbing (mentions of "the end of the Christain Era" and huge wars resulting from it).. But MD Geist isn't blasphemous! It merely said that the human race stopped discussing and believing in God, which is entirely possible.

      I could continue to flame Twilight of the Cockroaches (the dub, at least) but I'll stop for now. :-) The ONLY redeeming quality that TotC has is that there is a talking pile of dung at the beginning of the movie... I'm SERIOUS! That's the ONLY redeeming quality this movie had!

      Anime Character for a Day:
      Female: Shalya-Shalya from El Hazard. Red hair is kawaii! :-)

      FFVIII: I don't know if I'm really looking forward to FFVIII.  I mean, I've seen the screenshots, and I'm already uncomfortable with the look of it.  It's too *real*! I know I sound stupid, but I'm actually rather fond of navigating SD charas around and the anime/manga style of facial features and such that have pretty much been the standard for RPGs (or, at least Squaresoft RPGs).  And I've heard some pretty funky rumors about what they've done to the battle format now ...

      ... but, knowing me, I'll probably wind up liking it anyway. ^_- I'd had similar worries about FFVII before it came out.  ("Playstation? Polygons? Materia? What are those nuts at Squaresoft thinking?")

      Dogs: For Skuld's sake, don't be so hard on the poor things.  I have three cats who ignore me on a regular basis.  I love them very dearly, but sometimes I wish I had a pet that wouldn't realize how extremely boring I am. ^^;;; Cats are good for some people, dogs are good for some people, and then there are those of us who really ought to stick to fish.  <,^(((><<-- (Recognize the pun, anyone?)

      Emiko's Genesis Movie: I think Emiko's Genesis - The Movie is a great title! It sounds important! Besides, if you named it anything else, people might not see the connexion between the manga and the movie (except us EG Addicts, of course).  But what about the soundtrack? ^^;;;; Soundtrack is important; Star Wars wouldn't have gone anywhere without that soundtrack.

      Yu~~~mi-sa~~~ma: You can never give a really cool mage enough praise! Yumi-sama rules!

      Playstation: The Playstation is cool, and so is the N64! But it's just that most N64 people I know diss the Playstation which pisses me off. Then I start dissing the N64 when it actually isn't that bad.

      FFVIII: Uh...Chatty....I think I'm lost. FFVII was kick-@$$ and so will FFVIII! Since it's under the name of: Final Fantasy and was created from Sqauresoft, nobody should really worry about a thing!

      Dogs: Does Skuld hate dogs or something?

      THE MOVIE: Hello people: Shouldn't we start getting Emiko's Genesis out first before we start talking about the movie? GET IT OUT IN A SERIES FIRST PEOPLE! Soundtrack? What kinda music would go with this? Let's just ask Mr. Kim first!

      Yumi: What's with her? How did this whole controversy start? (What the heck is going on?)

      Actually, that was the plan.  The Genesis movie (probably to be titled "Genesis: The Tree That Binds" or something misleading/vague like that) is something that happens after most of the characters have been fully established, as well as the world (sorta like Tenchi Muyo In Love). BTW, the manga is called "Genesis", not "Emiko's Genesis", in case you haven't noticed. ^_^ I wanted the manga's title to be vague, in case I ever want to make a offshoot series that doesn't revolve around Emiko. ^_^

      Hate to say it, but FFVIII (from the images I've seen so far), looks a little boring. :\ Oh well, here's hoping I'm wrong! ^_^ Anyone know when the FFVII movie is coming out in theaters?

      Genesis Movie: Misleading titles are cool, but it should be more attention-getting than "The Tree That Binds".. :-) BTW, if you're gonna make a movie, why not also make a TV series, and an OAV series or two? :-) Genesis Manga: GACK! Ian-san, you're right! (well, you ARE the artist) The title IS Genesis, not Emiko's Genesis! .. Does Emiko know this? ;-)

      Yumi: Uh... hrmm... Gomen, Yumi! I knew it was a really REALLY bad joke! Gomen! I'll never say ANYTHING bad about mages ever again! Aie!

      FF Movie: Well, according to my sources (a dart board with various messages attached to it.. similar to the dart-board method of grading schoolwork), the C.G. FF Movie is supposed to be released late 1999/early 2000.. To the best of my knowledge, there is NO connection between the FF Movie and FFVII (or FFVIII). Also, to the best of my knowledge, there is only one FF Movie being planned (unless you count FFVIII as a movie!)
      If I'm wrong, it's not my fault.. the darts magically selected those numbers and bits of information!!

      Skuld and Dogs: No, actually -- Skuld really likes dogs, especially puppies.  That's why I said it!

      Emiko's Genesis: Well, I knew the manga was called just plain old Genesis.  I like to call it Emiko's Genesis so that it won't get confused with the Book of Genesis or the rock group Genesis.  Of course, I suppose Yumi's Genesis (or Mika's Genesis or Mai's Genesis ...) would serve that purpose ust as well, but Ian-san's already established Emiko's Genesis as a suitable nickname. ^_-

      The Yu~~mi contraversy:
      (*slaps self for telling that moldy old joke AGAIN*)
      Hee hee.  Sorry 'bout that.  Anyway ... for you newcomers to the Yumi situation, here's what happened:
      • the first half of the New Issue came out
      • Yumi was in it (two pages!! yeah!!)
      • people read the New Issue
      • people discovered that Yumi-sama was cooler than we had imagined possible
      • people said so in the chatroom ^_^
      • people said so in the chatroom repeatedly ^_-
      • Cookie told a stupid joke ^_^
      Oh, that reminds me ...
      (*grins widely and shifts into battle position*) RUBBER CO -- (*glances down the screen and sees that Yumi's been here*) -- oh, wait never mind.  It's okay.  (*grins at Cookie*) Sorry.  I never did like being the butt of a joke. ^_^

      IMNSHO, Yumi-sama's ultimate coolness is unavoidable truth.  Believe me, it's a perfectly logical conclusion! Mages are the coolest people of all (I'm in a position to know ^_-), and Yumi is the coolest of all mages -- THEREFORE, Yumi-sama is the coolest of all! Makes sense, ne?

      "Is that all?" (*spoken by an annoying giant cockroach ^_- ^_-*)

      Hai, of course it is. ^_-

      "Humph.  I might have thought it would have something to do with how you dress alike."

      Of course not, silly. ^^;;; And mages do tend to dress alike anyway.

      "Yeah, but *EXACTLY THE SAME*? Isn't that a little --"

      I do *not* dress exactly the same as Yumi!

      "Yes you do! What you're wearing right now looks just like it came out of Yumi's '96 profile pic!"

      (note: I just finished my official type stuff a little while ago and I haven't had time to change into a t-shirt and jeans yet ^^;;)

      Baka! I've had this since 1991!

      "1991? Wasn't that when you were trying to mix American comicbook style with Disney?"

      ..... ^^;;;

      "Ah yes, the pre-Manga years! Beady eyes! And what lovely crosshatching work! When in doubt, draw more useless detail!"

      (*steam emits from both ears*)

      "Uh oh ..."

      (*battle position again*)
      RUBBER CONTROL!!
      (*a shimmering orb appears around the cockroach and the whole thing starts bouncing around the Genesis Chatroom at a very fast speed, making a cutesy little PING noise whenever it bounces off something*)

      "Oy ... ah ... oh ... AAIEE!!!"

      (*the orb comes to a sudden stop and disintegrates, leaving behind an unharmed but very dizzy giant cockroach*)

      "Oy oy oy ... you're lucky you didn't break anything."

      Ha! (*takes a flourishing curtsy*) Thank you, thank you! I designed that spell myself!

      Bai for now! Long live Yumi-sama! (*SD salute*)
